Terms of Use – HoldTalent
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) explain how you can use HoldTalent website and services (“HoldTalent”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
HoldTalent is a niche job board for AI Governance & Risk, Cybersecurity, GRC, Privacy & Data Protection roles across the EU. We publish and curate job listings and related information. We are not an employment agency and we are not a party to any hiring decisions or employment contracts. We show roles from: employers who ask us to list their jobs directly, and selected external sources or feeds that we aggregate and label. Each employer or external source is solely responsible for the content of its job listings, apply links and recruitment processes.
Website: https://holdtalent.com Email: hello@holdtalent.com
Registered office address: 77 Camden Street Lower, Dublin, D02 XE80, Ireland (correspondence only).
By using HoldTalent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These Terms do not remove any mandatory rights you have under EU/EEA law.
1. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply when you:
- browse or use HoldTalent website
- click through to jobs or external resources
- contact us or ask to post a job
Extra terms may apply to specific paid services in the future. If that happens, we will show those terms before you confirm anything.
2. How HoldTalent works
2.1. Job board, not an agency
HoldTalent is a job board and content site. We:
- collect and curate job listings in our niche
- link candidates directly to employers or their chosen systems
- share some roles via email or social channels
We do not:
- act as an employment agency or represent you in applying for jobs
- enter into employment contracts on behalf of employers or candidates
- run a CV database or candidate accounts
- provide ATS tools or AI-based screening for employers
2.2. Curation and sources
We may publish jobs that come from:
- employers who contact us directly
- careers sites or other public sources we actively curate
Where possible, we show the original source and link candidates straight to the employer’s own site or chosen system. We may update or remove listings over time (for example when links break or roles look stale).
3. Using HoldTalent (all visitors)
You agree that you will not:
- use the site for anything illegal, misleading or abusive
- try to disrupt or overload the site or its security
- copy, scrape or bulk-download listings or content to build or support a competing service without our written permission
- use any automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to collect data from the site
You must only use HoldTalent in a way that follows these Terms and applicable law. We may block or limit access if we reasonably believe our site is being misused.
4. For jobseekers and site visitors
4.1. No guarantees about jobs
We do not:
- guarantee that any job listing is current, complete or accurate
- guarantee that you will get an interview, offer or response
- take part in any hiring decision or negotiation
We provide a job board that displays roles from different sources, including direct employer posts and aggregated listings. Employers and sources are responsible for their own content, and candidates must do their own due diligence before applying.
4.2. Where you apply
In most cases you apply on the employer’s own site or chosen system. When you leave HoldTalent and go to an external site:
- their own Privacy Policy, cookies and terms apply
- they are responsible for what happens with your data there
We do not control those external systems and we are not responsible for their content, security or practices.
4.3. No legal or career advice
Any information we publish (for example on the EU AI Act, compliance or career resources) is for general education only. It is not legal advice or personalised career advice. You should speak with a qualified adviser for your specific situation.
5. For employers and posters
5.1. Who can post
HoldTalent is for genuine roles in our niche. When you ask to post a job, you confirm that:
- you are authorised to represent the hiring organisation
- the job is a real role, not a scam, unpaid “trial” or pay-to-work scheme
- the information you give us (job details and company details) is true, accurate and not misleading
5.2. What you must not post
You agree that job listings and related content you provide will not:
- breach applicable law, including equality / non-discrimination rules
- promote illegal activity or unsafe practices
- contain hateful, abusive or obscene content
- be primarily advertising, link farms, franchise/MLM offers or anything that is not a genuine job opportunity
- re-use content you do not have rights to
5.3. Our right to accept, edit or remove listings
We decide which roles we publish and how they appear. We may, at our reasonable discretion:
- decline a listing if it falls outside our niche or rules
- edit minor formatting or fix obvious errors
- pause or remove a listing (for example if it looks misleading, is reported, appears closed, or breaks these Terms)
If we ever offer paid listings, we will explain how removal and refunds work for those services separately. For free or launch offers, we do not guarantee any minimum traffic or performance.
6. Verified Employer badge and AI-use notes
6.1. Verified Employer badge
Some listings may show a “Verified Employer” or similar badge. This means we have carried out basic checks (for example identity/domain and legal-entity checks) based on information available at the time.
It does not mean we certify:
- legal compliance
- the employer’s processes, tools or working practices
- the quality or safety of any role
We may remove or update the badge if information changes or if issues are reported.
6.2. AI-use label
Some employers may choose to add a simple AI-use note to their listing (for example “Human-led (no AI)” or “Human-led + Assistive AI”). These labels are:
- optional and self-declared by the employer
- not independently verified by HoldTalent
- not a compliance or legal approval
7. Fees and payment (if and when paid services are offered)
At launch, some services (such as certain job posts) may be offered free or as a trial. If we introduce paid listings or other paid services:
- we will show the price and key terms clearly before you confirm
- fees will be in euro (EUR) unless stated otherwise
- we may use third-party payment providers (for example Stripe) to process payments
Any specific payment, refund or renewal terms will be set out at the time of order and will form part of your agreement with us.
8. Intellectual property and acceptable use
8.1. Our content
The HoldTalent site, branding, layout and original content (for example explainer text, guides and design) are owned by us or used under licence.
You must not, without our written permission:
- copy or re-publish our content or design
- build a competing service using systematic scraping or copying
- remove or hide notices about our rights
8.2. Employer content and licence
Employers keep ownership of their job ad text, logo and other material they provide. However, by sending us content for publication, you grant HoldTalent a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
- use, host, edit (lightly) and display that content on our site
- share the listing in email updates, social posts or similar promotional channels connected to HoldTalent
This licence lasts as long as the content is in use on our services and for a reasonable period afterwards in backups and archives.
9. Privacy and cookies
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and cookies, including when you contact us, when employers post jobs and when you browse the site.
Please read the Privacy Policy alongside these Terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy about privacy matters, the Privacy Policy wins for that topic.
10. Disclaimer and limits on liability
10.1. Information on the site
HoldTalent is provided “as is”. While we try to keep listings and content accurate and up to date, we do not promise that:
- every job listing is current, accurate or complete
- the site will be available all the time or error-free
- any particular listing will get a specific number of views, clicks, applications or hires
10.2. Responsibility for third parties
We are not responsible for:
- the content of employer sites, application systems or external links
- how employers, course providers or other third parties use your data or treat you once you leave HoldTalent
- any agreements you make directly with employers or other third parties
10.3. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
As far as the law allows, HoldTalent will not be liable for:
- loss of profits, business, opportunities or expected savings
- loss of data that you did not back up
- indirect or consequential loss or damage
11. Suspension, changes and ending use
We may, at any time:
- change, update or remove parts of the site
- pause or limit access (for example for maintenance or security)
- suspend or stop access for users who seriously or repeatedly break these Terms or misuse the service
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If we cannot resolve any dispute informally, the courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction, without removing any mandatory protections you may have in your home country under EU/EEA law.
13. Non-discriminatory job ads
HoldTalent is an EU-focused job board. When you post roles here, you agree to follow the equality and anti-discrimination laws that apply where the job is based, as well as EU rules that ban discrimination in access to work. Job ads must be merit-based and free from unlawful restrictions – for example, no unjustified limits around gender, age, nationality, ethnic origin, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, family status or any other protected characteristic. We may edit, refuse or remove any ad that looks discriminatory, misleading or otherwise unlawful, in line with these Terms. You are responsible for the content of your job posts and for making sure your recruitment practices comply with local and EU law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, show a notice on the site.
By continuing to use HoldTalent after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Terms.
15. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms, please email hello@holdtalent.com.
