Role Overview
The Physical Security Application Engineer supports the day-to-day operation, deployment, and continuous improvement of Cohesity's physical security technology ecosystem. This role is primarily focused on troubleshooting, installation and deployment support, quality assurance, testing, auditing, data management, ticket triage, and end-user support across access control, video management, visitor management, and related security platforms.
What You Will Do
Triage, investigate, and resolve physical security application issues across access control, CCTV/video management, visitor management, and related end-user support requests. Perform quality assurance, system testing, commissioning support, validation, and post-deployment checks to confirm solutions operate as designed.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in physical security technology, technical support, security operations, IT support, systems deployment, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with access control, video management, visitor management, or similar physical security platforms; experience with Genetec, Avigilon, Avigilon Alta, Alert Media, or Envoy is a plus.
- Practical troubleshooting skills across applications, devices, user access, tickets, and operational workflows.
- Working knowledge of installation support, testing, commissioning, audits, documentation, or data management for security or technology systems.
- Ability to use reports, tickets, metrics, or audit data to identify trends, communicate findings, and support continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills when supporting end users, vendors, GSOC operators, and cross-functional partners.
- Self-driven and able to manage assigned work independently while escalating appropriately and maintaining clear stakeholder updates.
