Role Overview

The Senior Compliance and Financial Crime Manager will oversee the compliance and financial crime agenda for Aztec's Irish regulated and supervised entities. The role will be responsible for the Head of Compliance, Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing and Chief Risk Officer PCF positions, subject to regulatory approval. The successful candidate will operate as an integral member of a Group-wide team, drawing on common frameworks, specialist capability, technology and shared resources.

What You Will Do

The role will provide independent advice and challenge to the Irish Boards, local management and business teams. The successful candidate will maintain clear local accountability and provide concise reporting on regulatory developments, monitoring outcomes, material issues and remediation. They will also represent Irish matters in relevant Group forums and translate Group developments into appropriate local action.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The successful candidate will be a strong experience in compliance and financial crime within the Irish financial services sector, ideally in investment funds, fund administration, depositary or corporate services. They will have practical knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment, including Central Bank of Ireland requirements, AML/CFT obligations, AIFMD and relevant individual accountability expectations.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in compliance and financial crime within the Irish financial services sector
  • Practical knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment
  • Experience of holding, or the standing and capability to obtain approval for, relevant Irish pre-approval controlled functions
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a Group or matrix structure
  • Experience advising and constructively challenging Boards and management
  • Sound judgement, independence and strong stakeholder-management skills
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
